Experience four seasons of Pocono fun among the 2,400 square miles of natural areas including nine state parks, two national parks and hundreds of acres of state Gamelands. These parks are a preservation of land perfect for hiking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, camping, swimming and picnicking. Swim or canoe along the shores of the Delaware and Lehigh rivers. Visitors can gaze up and out at rural scenery and miraculous waterfalls. If you arrive in the right season camp out and go hunting for white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and ruffled grouse, or cast a line for shad, trout or bass.

Paddlers slip down the river between low forested mountains; anglers wade the trout streams; hikers scan the valley from the ridge or peer into the 1000-foot-deep Water Gap. The valley has known human hand and voice for 10,000 years. Floodplains nourished the Native farmer; waterfalls drew the Victorian vacationer. Today, a 70,000-acre park welcomes those who seek the outdoors close to home.
Along Shohola Creek there are numerous cascades, deep holes and steep ledges where water rushes over a final set of falls onto the river flatland. Shohola Falls is a 0.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Shohola, PA that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, birding, and fishing and is accessible year-round.
Experience a variety of wildlife on PEEC's six hiking trails making it a great place for nature lovers, families, friends, photographers, youth and adult groups, scouts, students and teachers. A private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, PEEC is the education partner of the National Park Service in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. PEEC advances environmental education, sustainable living and appreciation for nature through hands-on experience in a national park.

Edge of the Woods Outfitters had the first bike rental program in the area. Rent mountain bikes on the scenic Joseph McDade Trail, located in the National Park and just minutes away from the shop. The most popular biking loop is 10 miles in total and features multiple bridges crossing creeks and streams. This loop also includes stopping points with benches overlooking the river.

Vanderbeek's 75-minute private lesson centered experience is designed for small groups or couples. It includes grooming, tacking, and riding. Your personal trainer will provide a well-balanced understanding of horses for you and your guests. This activity is perfect for beginners, children, and anyone who wants to learn about horsemanship.

Experience the thrill of ATV trail riding as you command your own ATV. We teach you the basics of ATVing, then you're off to the trails with your guide leading the way. Your adventure offers a wide variety of fun and challenging rugged trails, not flat boring dirt roads. You will experience switchback climbs, scenic ridges, rock crawls, mud runs, and creek crossings. Gradually you will climb nearly 2,000 vertical feet to some spectacular views as you experience the most exhilarating ATV Adventure in the Poconos.
The Appalachian Trail marks the southern border of the Poconos, and many other trail systems offer waterfalls, spectacular viewing condition and a high concentration of rare plants and animals. Hiking trails in state parks lead to beautiful vistas and waterfalls, or by wetlands bubbling with life or through dark, old growth forests and to uncountable adventures and chances to see wildlife. Some trails are scenic or leisurely, while others are self-guiding, educational or rigorous exercise.
Starting at the on-site visitors center, the flat boardwalk trail to Dingmans Falls meanders through a beautiful hemlock ravine. Almost immediately after starting the trail, Silverthread Falls can be seen on the right. The cascade gracefully drops 80 feet through a narrow chute. Past Silverthread Falls, the trail winds through rhododendron shrubs and by tall hemlock trees, a short distance to the waterfall. The boardwalk ends at the base of Dingmans Falls, the second highest waterfall in Pennsylvania. View the falls from the platform or trek the final tenth of a mile via staircase for a birds-eye view from the upper falls.
The "Niagara of Pennsylvania," Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone State's most famous scenic attractions. This unique series of eight waterfalls, nestled deep in the wooded Pocono Mountains, is accessible through an excellent network of hiking trails and bridges which afford fabulous views of the falls and the surrounding forest.
Skirmish Paintball is home to over 50 of the best paintball maps on the planet spanning 700+ acres of prime Pocono Mountain real estate. Our paintball maps contain everything you could possibly want in field topography; open fields, dense woods, creeks, bridges, swamps, rhododendron trees, forts, villages, TWO CASTLES, cargo containers, tanks, airplanes, speedball arenas, and inflatable bunkers. You name it – Skirmish has it! There is no experience necessary to play here at Skirmish Paintball. We will provide your paintball equipment and our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to answer your questions, give you tips and help with whatever you need.
Discover an uplifting array of activities with your friends and family, from a 33- foot rock climbing wall with six faces of varying levels of challenge, to our Old Western Town paintball course, featuring everything you need for extreme thrills. Soar through the treetop adventure course, play a round of archery tag, or enjoy dog sledding and tobogganing in the winter.
Masthope stable staff cares for a herd of approximately 20 horses that are ready to go with pony rides, trail rides, arena rides and private lessons. Daily rides are available all summer and a modified schedule is available throughout the rest of the year. Winter arena and pony rides are available during regular stable hours. Private riding lessons are also available year round. Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended. Open year-round, Bushkill Riding Stables offers trail rides where you can reconnect with nature and an earlier time. You’ll learn the basics, meet your horse, and set off into the peaceful woods around the resort. Rides of 30-45 minutes wind around the property and border the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Hours of operation are 9am-6pm daily. Call for reservations.
Our UTV tours offer a little bit of everything... a cruise through woodland trails, an adrenaline filled trip through the challenge course and a run down the outside of Pocono Raceway alongside the Long Pond Straight. You'll want to have your camera ready for some cool shots of the Pocono grand stands, and if we're lucky, some race cars on track. Tours are guided at all times, and are approximately 1 hour. The guides are in their own vehicles and you will follow them throughout the trails.
Welcome to the Pocono Mountains’ first and only railbiking recreational adventure! Railbiking is a unique way to experience the nature and wildlife found on trails and can be easily enjoyed by all. Our custom-made railbikes fit comfortably and perfectly onto the railroad tracks and are easily powered by gentle pedaling. Our scenic route runs along the Lackawaxen River in the charming town of Hawley, PA. We have specifically chosen a route that is 6 miles long and boasts lush views and fascinating history.
We're the friendly ATV people that want you to have a great time in the Poconos while riding ATVs through 200 beautiful wooded acres. You'll be riding on our late model off-road ATV's, and we want you to be safe. We start by giving you preliminary instruction on how to safely enjoy ATV riding, we get you equiped for the ride and then you hit the trail with a trail guide leading the way!

Canoe through rapids and quiet pools as the Delaware River winds its way through a valley of swiftly changing scenery or fish amid rolling hills and riverfront villages in one of the finest fishing rivers in the northeastern United States. The clean water of the Delaware, the last major undammed river in the eastern United States, supports a healthy ecosystem and offers tranquility and excitement. The pristine water of the Delaware River provides ideal habitat for a great variety of fish species and is well known for ample fishing opportunities.
Raymondskill Falls is the highest waterfall in the state of Pennsylvania. It is a series of three cascading waterfalls located on Raymondskill Creek. The falls have two viewing platforms: one near the head of the falls and one at a large step that divides the upper two drops from the lower. The trail leading to the top of the falls is dramatic as the water cuts through the escarpment. Find the trail to Hackers Falls, another impressive sight, just across the street from the parking lot. The Cliff Trail can also be accessed at the Raymondskill Falls trailhead.

Bike rentals & shuttle services are our specialty so join us for a day on the Lehigh Gorge Rail-Trail. Our user friendly fleet includes Trek bikes for the entire family. We have comfort bikes with wide forgiving seats, kids bikes, trail-a-bikes, & cabooses. Ride out and back for an hour or two OR take one of our convenient shuttles and enjoy the mid-way or full 25-mile Lehigh Gorge ride.
Take to the trees at Pocono TreeVentures aerial ropes adventure course! Over 90 elements and eight courses from beginner to expert lead you through the trees using small platforms constructed at various levels. Each course at Pocono TreeVentures consists of rope, cable and wood configurations that challenge with aerial tightropes, swinging log steps, Tru Blues and rope ladders. Be prepared to see the world from above with the highest point of the advanced course being over 40 feet off the ground.

With hundreds of acres to roam and terrain that varies from flat to rugged, our riding stables are able to accommodate many different types of riders. Beginners can take pictures of the wildlife while riding along our wooded trail. Those who have ridden a bit before can navigate their way into the valley along the stream, and out to our waterfall, or even take an adventurous half day ride! Rides are not single-file so feel free to steer your horse around meandering paths and mazes! Just keep your guide in sight. The stables also feature a petting zoo, pony rides for kids, and sleigh rides in the winter.
